|Bill Tefft's love of the Ely Area and its national forest, state parks, forests, lakes and trails has grown greater over each
of the 37 years spent exploring the outdoors. Every plant and animal, even biting insects, provides learning opportunities.
As a naturalist and retired college instructor, Bill believes exploring and learning is followed by sharing. Recently,
Bill has been involved in the creation of the Ely Field Naturalists group which has provided an exciting addition to his years
of rewarding field trips, elderhostels, mine-guiding, radio shows, nature newspaper articles, children’s programs, community
education classes, and participation in local, state and national organizations.
